Computer ratings:
The
DNTRP rating system is in effect. Find your computer rating on
Tennislink.
New players:
If you are new to the USTA
leagues or haven't played the last five years, you will need to self rate to join a
team in accordance with DNTRP regulations. (what
is DNTRP?)
Join a team:
1) Read the
NTRP Playing Levels descriptions and review the
General and Experienced
Player Guidelines. The grid will suggest to you the
appropriate rating based on your tennis history.
2) If you haven't been placed on a team, contact the applicable
level coordinator. Include your contact
information and self rating. The coordinator will then send your name to the
captains.
3) You will then be contacted by the team captain who will give you
registration details. You will need your USTA number and a team
number.
4) When you register on the
website
(TennisLink), there will be a series of questions to
guide you to an appropriate rating based on the General and Experience
Player Guidelines that you should have already reviewed. (Please do not rate yourself below our
2.5 league minimum.) If you feel the resulting minimum rating is too
high (i.e. it assigns you a minimum rating of 3.0 and you are trying to
register for a 2.5 team), you can file an immediate appeal as a part of the
online rating process. Failure to do so or omission of information
regarding a player's tennis history will subject the player, the captain
and/or others who condoned inaccurate self-rating to sanctions and
disqualifications.
Players returning to the Leagues: If
you played in the fall league season (mixed doubles) and/or have a current
computer rating (last five years), from anywhere in the USTA, please
contact the applicable level coordinator. E-mail your contact
information, computer rating or self rating. You will then be contacted by a
captain who will give you team registration details.
If you are interested in being a captain,
please contact the level coordinator.
